The outstanding master craftsman, Lee Sadler,  created by hand the house, guest house, and garage using post and beam construction. The house utilizes handmade redwood doors, cedar walls, hand-shaped douglas fir beams and window trim, and redwood ceilings.

History

The house at Whisper Valley Ranch was built in two stages. Mike Frederick built the original front 1000 sq. ft. cabin in 1991-1992. This consisted of the present living room, kitchen, loft, bath, and one bedroom behind the kitchen.

The following owners, J.P. and Bob Puette, purchased the property in 1993 and enlarged the house to 2000 sq. ft. by adding a new master bedroom and master bath. The original bath was enlarged and a laundry area was added. The electrical system was upgraded and central heating and air conditioning was added all running on a large Onan generator. The garage had two large bays, a wine cellar, and a workshop. Above the garage at the level of the main residence, a guest suite was added with a large room, bath, and walk-in closet.

Jennie and Peter Odryna purchased the property and home in Sept. of 2000 using the property as a vacation home. The structures were not substantially changed, but infrastructure throughout were upgraded adding PG&E electrical (all underground) high-speed internet, and satellite TV. The well system was upgraded to improve water flow rate.

XX purchased the property in Oct 2013 with the intention of making it his primary residence. However, he met a woman locally that owned blue sky ranch, married, and changed Whisper Valley Ranch into a vacation rental.

XX purchased the property in Nov 2015 and did a major remodel renaming the home “The Cabin”. It serves solely as a vacation rental now.
